The swan populated canal which is only down the road is not only a popular meeting place to have a drink and enjoy the view but also turns into a market strip various times of the week. Every Tuesday and Friday, there’s a big, colourful and buzzing Mediterranean market. On Sundays the same area turns into a fabrics market and twice a month, just a bit further down along the canal a flea market is being held on the Saturday. During summers, the mediterranean atmosphere is enhanced by its bridges, passing yachts and boat tours, whereas during harsh winters you will see the crowds flock to the frozen waters to show of their ice skating skills.
