LAVANTA (Lavander) and MEHTAP (Moonlight) are two separate flats in a quaint and comfortable building right on the beach at Fethiye’s exclusive Sovalye Island (The Island of Knights). The location is rare on the tiny isle with only 50 houses in total, no vehicles –but plenty of Roman and Greeks ruins on its pathways and under its sea, stretches of cozy coves and beaches and vegetation full of Mediterranean aroma of lavender, citrus, jasmine, roses etc.
Conveniently, the island may be only a few hundred meters from the mainland, but it is far away from the stress of teaming metropolis living: stunning sunrises and sunsets, gentle breeze from the sea that makes one refreshed in a tranquility of nature.
The two accommodations, while totally separate and private, both offer one bedroom, one large living-dining area, separate kitchen and balconies –all with full sea view. They have their own staircase –a few steps–down to what is in effect your own private beach.
Both flats are decorated with stylish furniture and have all the modern conveniences, such as air conditioning in all rooms, full equipped kitchen with pots and pans, cutlery, chinaware, washing machines as well as sheets, towels etc.
Right next to MEHTAP and LAVANTA is the island’s main beach –a small cozy strip never too crowded or noisy. The main restaurant of the island is also right after the beach within a few minutes of walking.
Transportation between the island and the town of Fethiye is through a sea-bus service four to five times a day during high season. Private sea taxi service is available 24 hours a day for the short 10-minutw ride. Shopping is done at Fethiye, whose history dates back to 2,000 BC and is also known as The Land of Lights (300 sunny days in a year and rare rainy days between April and November)
