Ideally located within Anse Reunion on La Digue, Pension Hibiscus is just minutes away from the island’s world-class beaches and is convenient to La Digue amenities such as restaurants, markets, bakery, bank/ATM, ferries, and boutiques.
entrance 2Pension Hibiscus’ five spotless Rooms are all air-conditioned with private bathrooms, and four of the rooms offer a full kitchen for self-catering. Each room is ideal for a couple or families with 1-2 small children. Connected “double” rooms are also possible for larger families or for couples traveling together. Rates for low and high season and availability of breakfast (or half-board) are provided in our Rate Schedule.
A full range of Activities is available on La Digue, verandah 1 both on the island itself or on the sea. Of course one of the best things to do here is to simply rent a bicycle and explore La Digue on your own …or to find your favorite spot at your favorite beach reading a good book!
Pension Hibiscus consists of Maison Alice and Maison Eliza, named for Jennita’s lovely daughter and late mother, respectively.
Maison Alice houses Rooms 1 and 2 (each with full kitchen and separate bathroom) with a common sitting room and an upstairs room. Rooms 1 or 2 can be rented as separate single rooms or together – including the sitting room and upstairs – for larger families or couples traveling together. Air conditioning in each bedroom and a spacious veranda across the entire front of Maison Alice complete the amenities.
Maison Eliza consists of Rooms 3, 4, and 5, with each room having a separate bathroom and Rooms 3 and
5 containing a full kitchen. Room 4 does not have a kitchen but it does have a bathtub(!) and a door connecting it to Room 3 (if desired), again for larger families or groups that prefer renting two connected rooms during their stay on La Digue. Each of the three rooms has a comfortable, separate veranda with private entrance..
Jennita installed full kitchens in four of the five available rooms to provide her guests the ability to fully appreciate local cuisine on their own if they wish. From the simplicity of preparing your own platter of select, local fruits for breakfast to seasoning a freshly caught red snapper with garlic, chilies, and lemon (Kreol style) …… the possibilities are endless! And best of all, imagine enjoying your special dinner with a chilled wine or enjoying a late snack of breadfruit chips and ice cold SeyBrew beer, all on your own veranda.
Common facilities include two outside showers for rinsing off sand and salt, an outdoor thatch seating area perfect for a cool drink, lounge chairs for each room, and bamboo shades to block the most intense hours of the Seychelles sun when needed.
