Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Koudum
Perruque is a bed-and-breakfast, hotel and guesthouse situated in a former police station, where people can now spend the night ‘voluntarily’ in one of the nine attractive double rooms (including two specially adapted rooms for disabled persons) with private shower and toilet and a TV. In Perruque hospitality is written with a capital H. Guests can relax in our spacious central lounge with a view of the terrace and a cosy woodstove burning nicely during the winter season. Next to the lounge is the kitchen where meals are prepared with love and devotion. We can also provide evening meals for our guests; please let us know in the morning if you want to join us for dinner.
Contrary to what is customary in police cells, our guests are allowed to use the Internet: our wireless Internet connection is available in all rooms. As true Frisians, your hosts Janny Pruiksma and Nico Kuijper are highly familiar with the surrounding area. They would be very happy to advise you on how to experience Friesland in the best possible way.
Room/s & Facilities
Hotel/guesthouse/bed-and-breakfast Perruque has 9 rooms: 6 ground floor rooms and 3 first floor rooms. All rooms have kept their original names from the time Perruque used to be a police station. Rooms 5 and 6 have been adapted for disabled guests. The bathrooms here include a toilet with armrests and a shower chair. The bathroom in room no. 5 is also accessible for wheelchairs.
Except for the differently coloured rear walls, all rooms have the same design and include 2 box spring beds. The rooms are clean and tidy, and have been designed with an eye for detail. All rooms include a TV, clock radio, hair dryer and have a private shower and toilet, only Room no. 1 (a family room) has a private shower and toilet in the hallway.
Room no. 1 ‘Interview room:- This is a ground floor frontside family room. It is suitable for 4 persons and includes 2 single box spring beds and a bunk bed. There is a private shower and toilet in the hallway and a washbasin in the room.
Prices from € 105 for 4 persons, including breakfast (for 2 persons from € 70).
Room no. 2 ‘Identity parade room:- A nice room with a private terrace at the rear and a view of the lounge. An attractive room with a private shower and toilet, 2 box spring beds and 2 chairs, including an easy chair.
Room no. 3 ‘Chief Inspector’s office:- This is the room with the highest rank and sinds 2012 free for booking. On the north side of the building. A pleasant room with 2 boxspringbeds, 2 chairs and a private shower and Toilet.
Room no. 4 ‘Chief Sergeant’s office:- A room in the former police station, on the north side of the building. A pleasant room with 2 box spring beds and a private shower and toilet.
Room no. 5 ‘Senior Sergeant’s office:- A room at the rear of the former police station, with a private terrace and seat facing south. This is the largest room, suitable for disabled guests. The bathroom is accessible for wheelchairs and includes a toilet with armrests, a shower chair, an adapted tap and a wheelchair accessible washbasin. This room also includes 2 box spring beds, a smart settee behind the bed and two comfortable chairs.
Room no. 6 ‘Sergeant’s office:- A room at the rear of the former police station, with a private terrace and seat facing south. An attractive room with a bathroom suitable for disabled guests, including a toilet with armrests and a shower chair. The room has 2 box spring beds and an easy chair. There’s a minibar in the cupboard.
Room no. 7 ‘District Commander:- This is a frontside room on the first floor of the former police staff residence. A pleasant room with 2 box spring beds and a private shower and toilet.
Room no. 8 ‘Station Commander’s office’ (budget room)
This room was refurbished in 2010 into a pleasant double room with a double bed. The new bathroom is accessible through a sliding wall in the room. There is a washbasin in the room. This is the only room with a small balcony facing south.
Room no. 9 ‘Group Commander’s office:- This is a rear side room on the first floor of the former police staff residence and one of the smaller, but comfy rooms with box spring beds and a private shower and toilet.
