6 Bedroom Holiday Farmhouse in Lemsterland
Luxury Farmhouse for 8 Persons
Our 85-years old farm became in our posession in 1967. It is fully renovated (2003) and speeps 6-8 persons with children. The outfit meets todays standards. The premesis consists of the house (60 m²), adjacent large barn (90 m²), garden (1300 m²) with a summerhouse. In the house: livingroom with 2 pers. nearly original boxbed; Sat TV, CD/DVD player, stereoamplifier. Kitchen with microwave oven, gasrange, Quooker (100 °C tapwater), refregirator. 1 Bedroom double bed; 1 Bedroom 2 single beds. Bathroom (tub and WC). In the barn 2 aditional bedrooms (single beds); scullery with washingmachine, dishwasher and deepfreeze. Large playground for e.g. table tennis; open fire in octagonal sittingplace. Lots of childrentoys.
A fenced mezzanine floor (app. 20m²) for quiet playing. Garden with terraces for sunbathing or relaxing in shadow. Pond, childrens playground with swing and wallbars, canal fot little rubber boat etc. Parkingplace for 2 cars. Sommerhouse contains an extra shower and WC.
Garden: The garden: approximaty 1300 m² with a pond; a childrens playing circle (diameter 10 m) with climbing frame, swing and sandpot; Firepot, beachchairs, outdoor table and banks, parasol, clotheshorse, etc., the possibility to set up a partytent, a children's swimmingpool.
Two terasses, one on the south to sunbath or either a wind-shed area at the pool or a shadowed place near our rhododendron area to relax or contemplate.
A canal at the north part is a nice fishing- or paddling area.
There is place for two motors.
Many touristic highlights : The Hanse (Trade union 16/17 century with German and Scandinavian harbours) cities like Hindloopen, Makkum, Staveren und Franeker (Planetarium built in 1774), as well as many worldfamous musea and exhibitions (Jopi Huisman, Altfater erf, Makkumer ceramics factory are nearby.
For recreation go to the Weerribben (World heritage nature area at 22 km), watch the competion of antique sail ships (Sneek week). Sail yourself, bike/ hike or go birdwatching in the signposted trails (direct vicinity or the reservations Munnikenburen, Rottige meente etc (8-12 km). Tjeukermeer (largest lake of Friesland) is less than 2 km from the house. You can swim sail of surf there. 6 Golfcourts within a radius of 20 km. Swimmingpool in Lemmer.
Lemmer is de most nearby city (8-9 km) with all common facilities and shops (most supermarkets open mo-sat until 20.00 h. Theater, cinema etc in Heerneveen at 18-20 km.
