Daphne was a forest nymph, daughter of the river-god Ladon in Arcadia or of the river-god Peneus in Thessaly and Gaia. She was a priestess. To get rid of the erotic harassment of Apollo, she transformed herself into a tree. From the branches of the tree Apollo made a wreath which he always wore as a crown on his head in remembrance of the beautiful nymph.
Room 2-Eurydice
Eurydice was the daughter of Apollo and the wife of Orpheus. She was bitten by a snake while running away from Aristaeus who harassed her erotically. Orpheus descended then to Hades in order to bring her back but he did not honor the promise not to look at her till his leaving of the Hades' realm. But as he looked at her, Eurydice disappeared, returning to the underworld forever.
Room 3-Phaethousa
Phaethousa was the daughter of Helios and the nymph Neaera or Rodi, sister of Lampetia (or Lampetiia) and Phaeton. Together with her sister she guarded the sacred flocks of her father on the island Thrinacia.
Room 4-Phylira
Philyra was the daughter of Oceanus. She and Saturn gave birth to the Centaur Cheiron. Tradition says that their coupling took place on the island Philyrkida in the Black Sea. Philyra lived on the Mount Pelion together with her son and his wife Chariklo. Even Jason and Achilles were brought up by her.
Room 5-Calypso
Calypso was the daughter of Atlas and Pleione or of Helios and the nymph Persiidos. According to Homer, she lived in a large cave on the island Ogygia on the coast of which Odysseus found himself shipwrecked. Calypso fell in love with the hero and detained him for ten years.
Room 6-Lampetia
Lampetia was the daughter of Helios and the nymph Neaera. Together with her sister Phaethousa she watched over the herds of her father in Thrinacia. It is said that after the death of his brother Phaeton, she was transformed into a poplar tree.
