Our first visit to Croatia and we were not disappointed. Villa Poropati was the perfect base. A beautiful rural setting but not too far from historical towns and coastal resorts. A beautifully refurbished villa which is spacious and well thought out. The host owners were extremely friendly and on hand when needed to offer helpful advice. Would highly recommend for families or groups of friends. We would definitely return.

My stay at Villa Poroprati was fantastic. It has a perfect location accessible via Pula airport and Trieste in Italy to where you can buy flights cheaply.

Viila has been recently renovated to a very high standard to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation with lighting that provides a cosy atmosphere. The modern kitchen and bathroom were in contrast to the surrounding stone and beam features and were stunning. 

Viila is in a quite location with beautiful views and surrounding vineyards that provide a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere. It has a swimming pool, table tennis and a beauty treatment room. 

Most importantly, the welcoming hosts make sure that your stay is unforgettable. They can arrange transfers for you or even for local people to bring you fresh fruit and vegetables. 

Within only 20 -30 minutes drive you can be at the seaside, visit Porec, the picturesque medieval village Grozdjan, or Umag were we played tennis at Goran Ivansievice Tennis Club. Local restaurants provide a variety of local specialities such as Truffles or fresh see food, home made pasta or bread and all at very affordable prices, Needless to say, local wines such as Malavazija, and Grappa (a very strong spirit) are availabe.

Overall it was an excellent holiday with great hosts that I can recommend highly.

We recently spent a wonderful weekend at the villa in the early Autumn sunshine. The villa is a stand-out renovation finished to an incredibly high specification. Our bedroom room was large and spacious with luxury touches throughout, from pristine, soft bedlinen to an immaculate en-suite bathroom. The entire property was spotlessly clean. The surrounding area is idyllic with a rich mix of old and new coming together. Although the villa is remote - a car a definite must - hidden in the surrounding area were some fantastic restaurants serving superb local food and wine. Should you wish to cater for yourself then a fully equipped, state of the art kitchen is on hand. This is a perfect location for large family holidays or smaller groups wishing to capitalise on the various options of accommodation.

We arrived in the middle of the night after a long drive from Italy but when we arrived at Villa Poropati we immediately felt very much at home. The place is simply amazing - well tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities but with all the comforts of a five star hotel. The villa is very spacious and the rooms are very comfortable although there were quite a number of us staying there. The owner of the hotel was very helpful in making various arrangements for us and went out of his way to make us feel at home. His recommendations of restaurants and things-to-do were exactly what we were looking for. All in we had an excellent time there and would definitely stay at the villa again in the future.

We have been 5 families with children ( bigger group ) so the villa was excelent place where we have enjoyed the stay. We have done also some trips to neiborhood e.g. Buzet or to the sea but we mainlly just enjoyed our stay with friends and children at villa.

Beutifull lazy days in countryside pool activities with children, afternoon message and late dinner with all friends. Excellent beef from local butcher a delisous salad from vegetables all from local farmers. Late evening good wine from Istria or rakija and acoustic guitars.
Simply perfect who likes this kind of holiday. Very good relationship with Rajko who take care about all of us and who really knows wat the guests are expecting...

Our expectations were exceeded, this place is simply perfect! 
Everything was really clean and in good shape, i would recommend this place to everyone, who is searching for a place to come down. 
Rajko, the owner and the heart of the place, did an amazing customer service, he organized amazing dinners, a beautiful boat trip and was always there for any wish we had!

Wir waren heuer schon zum zweiten Mal in der Villa Poropati und sind wieder/immer noch begeistert. Das Anwesen ist wie auf den Fotos dargestellt, groß, sauber und gut in Schuss, da gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Die Lage ist für Gäste, die Ruhe suchen optimal. Schöne Felsstrände sind mit dem Auto in ca. 20 min. zu erreichen. Zusätzliche Leistungen wie z.B.: Massage, Lebensmittellieferservice, Ausflüge, Privatkoch sind möglich - einfach die Wünsche beim Vermieter deponieren, er organisiert das dann umgehend.
5-Sterne, Daumen hoch - wir können die Villa Poropati mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen. 7 Doppelzimmer, davon 3 mit Extrabetten "erweiterbar", wir waren 16 Personen und fanden leicht Platz.

I spent a long weekend in this house in May and it certainly lived up to expectations. It has been beautifully restored to a very high standard with an amazingly well equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms with gorgeous en suite bathrooms. The house was spotless when we arrived and the owner was very helpful in explaining anything we weren't sure about. There is even a special room suitable for massages which the owner booked for us with a local masseur whose rates were extremely reasonable. We had a great time exploring local towns such as Groznjan and eating in excellent restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday location in Istria.

Fantastic stay - most generous villa, helpful owners and in a great setting. Totally enjoyable and fully recommend it!

This villa is of the highest standard with excellent living accommodation, bedrooms that are spacious, comfortable and very well appointed and bathrooms that match those of luxury hotels. The owners have spared no expense in designing, furnishing and equipping this property. The kitchen is vast and has all mod cons. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who made us feel very welcome and at home. We had massages from Christina - a very competent masseuse who lives locally. The range of local restaurants is wide and all serve local fresh produce at very reasonable prices. This is a great place for groups of friends or families alike. If you want a peaceful place to chill or a base from which to explore the Istrian region this is difficult to beat.

We had a great time in Croatia over the Christmas/New Year period and this Villa was the perfect base to relax in comfort and explore Istria. The villa itself is amazing, with well appointed rooms, all the ‘mod-cons’ and enough amenities to keep you occupied even on the coldest of winter days. The location is private & secluded yet you are never too far from civilization (15minutes by car). There's also plenty of extra space for larger groups too. 

The owners are consummate hosts, keen to please and provided us with plenty of suggestions on where to go, what to see and where to eat! Ask them about the delicious local restaurant, just 5 minutes from the Villa, and be sure to order the truffle pasta, delicious!

Recommend to anyone and we can’t wait to return this summer.

I came here with a party of friends to play some tennis and enjoy the food and scenery of Istria. It was a reasonable drive from Trieste airport on good roads - under 2 hours, no problem crossing two borders. The house is beautiful, all done to the best standard, clean and well-maintained, with omplete silence outside (until the table football tournament gets going). Comfortable beds, good showers. We played tennis at Buje (10 minutes away) and at Umag (about half an hour). We also drove to Porec and Motovun to see the sights and taste the food. Mr Macura was extremely helpful and gave the impression that he could provide anything we reasonably asked for - was able to produce a taxi driver to fetch a delayed party member from the airport on no notice at all. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants peace, tennis, great scenery, good food - probably other things too!

All rooms and bathrooms are of top class hotel standard - comfy beds and beautiful linens.
Communal areas are also top spec.
But the most stunning feature was the pool and the view beyond it into the country.

We allready joined this wonderful place in May, with bad weather conditions. And we loved it. This time with beautiful sunshine it was almost to much to handle.
Actually I´d like not to tell so much about this beautiful place, because everyone who stayed in this villa for a while will come back. So it will be booked all the time. Me and my girlfriends had a gorgeous time hiking the parenzana, enjoying the landscape and having dinner at extraordinary places. Thanks to Rajko, our landlord, who took care for us like a daddy. We already booked for next year.

I was really good at the villa poropati besides the fact of the very considerable comfort and 'Also important to care for the babies in fact as well as a real playground Also there is a room for the playstation. paradise for the whole family.

Das Anwesen hält was es auf den Fotos verspricht! Hier lässt es sich in absoluter Ruhelage urlauben. Der Vermieter ist ein Tourismusprofi und bemüht sich alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Für die totale Entspannung kann noch eine Physiotherapeutin für Massagen dazu gebucht werden. Super Strände sind in 20-20 min Autofahrt ebenfalls zu erreichen.
Wir können die Villa Poropati jedenfalls weiterempfehlen.

Having driven from the UK it was great on arrival at Villa Poropati to be able to immediately unwind and relax in this oasis of luxury set in quiet and tranquil countryside. The owner is justifiably proud of what he has achieved here. We have stayed at a number of self-catering houses over the years and Villa Poropati is definitely in a league of its own - several notches above 5*. The genial and enthusiastic owner kindly gave us a taster of the real Istria. Happily for us he speaks fluent English - although we don't think the word "impossible" is part of his vocabulary!

Ich hab mir mit 13 anderen Leuten die Villa für unsere maturareise gemietet und nachdem wir schon bei zwei drei Villen nicht zugelassen wurden weil wir eine Jugendgruppe sind wArena wir froh endlich,eine Villa gefunden zu haben

Der Besitzer ist ein super netter Mensch der wirklich,nur will dass alle Besucher glücklich sind und ihren Spaß haben
Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in der Villa und sind am überlegen ob wir uns dass nicht auch,noch,nächstes Jahr gönnen da es zu 14ent wirklich,leistbar ist

Poropati is positioned perfectly if you are interested to be close to Motovu, Grožnjan and to visit the rest of coastal towns of Istria, although you should check your map or GPS to find it. Once you are there, you are surrounded just with quietness and sounds of nature. Owner of the amazing villa was very helpful since the first mail, helping us reach destination and later giving us tips where to eat and what to visit. Upon arrival we were surprised with very rare combination of stone rustic villa with hi tech details. We were in the separate house which has nice sunset view from the terras and absolutely gorgeous spacious master bedroom. I'm quite positive that we will come back again and most probably that I will use it for some business trips (team buildings, meetings...ect.) as soon as facilities will be finished for that purposes as well.

I booked Villa Poropati to stay with a group of 8 people. It was a very smooth process and all the information we required was provided in a prompt and accurate way.

Villa Poropati is in an excellent location with beautiful views all around and the nearest town within 20 minutes drive, with lots of available amenities. The property offers great walks around it and is situated in a quiet and tranquil area.

The villa itself has been refurbished very recently with great taste and attention to detail. It is a delight staying there and absorbing the atmosphere of the property and the surrounding area. It has a very nice, large pool as well as a childrens' pool both of which are well maintained.

We hired a car with the assistance of the very helpful owner and ventured to the beaches around half an hour away which was worthwhile.

Overall the experience of the villa, surrounding area and the service made it a memorable holiday. I could highly recommend a stay there.

We were 3 couples with 6 young children and stayed there for a week last August and thoroughly enjoyed it. Villa Poropati is a wonderful residence surrounded by fields, forests and vineyards and it’s great for short walks with the kids. First thing that took us away was the sheer size of the property with large swimming pool for adults and a protected children's pool.

Property is newly refurbished in exquisite taste with great attention to detail, whole place feels very luxurious. Bedrooms were spacious, each with its en-suite bathroom. Kitchens were brand new and perfect for preparing dinners for our big group. We really enjoyed sitting all together at the large dining table.

The villa is located in a very quiet area but there are numerous activities nearby, which Rajko (the owner) was happy to arrange for us. He was also very helpful in recommending local restaurants and attractions. There are numerous small villages and towns that are easily accessible by car and we had a great time exploring these. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the area, especially at Villa Poropati. We hope to return soon and we highly recommend it.
