We were a party of 4 adults and stayed in the apartment for 6 weeks. It was ideally situated for our purpose of catching up with family in Zabbar and surrounds and is within a couple minutes walk of the bus stop that can take you anywhere in Malta.
The apartment is exactly as listed, spacious and has all amenities provided to ensure a comfortable stay. It was spotlessly clean on arrival with an ample quantity of cleaning materials supplied. The airport transfers is a bonus and much appreciated.
The owner provided a complimentary bottle of their homemade wine which was one of the best wines we drank in Malta - a very nice touch.
There is no restaurants in Zabbar except for the takeaway shops that specialise in the local pastries - Pastizzis which is a must try. Marsascala is only a short bus ride with many restaurants by the sea. For those that want to self cater there is a supermarket within easy walking distance and the kitchen is well equipped and has a large fridge.
We would highly recommend this apartment and the service of the owners.

Nice modern apartment with everything you need. Not much going on in Zabbar itself after the shops shut - a few takeaways and some very small local bars. Essential you take a day or week bus ticket (only 6.5 Euro each for the week) and then you can get to see the sights and more touristy bits of Malta. Nice pavement cafes and restaurants in Markasala just down the road, Don't miss Mdina and the ferries over the two harbours are each great value and offer wonderful views of Valletta, Owners very helpful and pickup and dropoff service included helps a lot.

I´m a spanish girl. I went to Malta on an Erasmus for three months. The first moment I saw the house on the webside I loved it but then when I arrived there...It was even better than it seems!
But the best thing is not the beautiful, spacious ,confortable flat with all its commodities, but the landlords. They are the best that I´ve ever had! So friendly, so attentive and they´ll make you feel at home.
If you want to have the best holidays or an unforgettable stay you must choose this option.
I´m sure you will not regret it.

This apartment is just as described. very spacious beautifully presented. it is easy to travel from Zabbar to anywhere on the island by bus so no car is needed. The shops in Zabbar close from 12 to 4pm so bear this in mind if you need milk etc. There is a very nice mini market just around the corner where despite not speaking a word of Maltese I managed to make friends with 3 ladies who were having a hot debate about the Maltese election. he people are certainly very friendly. And Marianna came at 5am on our last day to take us to the airport for an early flight. This was truly a bonus and we are very grateful for that. Thankyou for the use of your lovely apartment .

This apartment does exactly what it says on the web-site!
It is bright, spacious, airy, well equipped and well maintained; there are two small balconys, one of which catches the morning sun and the other catches the afternoon/evening sun. The apartment is on the second floor of a three story, very well maintained building and has excellant views over the roof-tops of Zabbar. The town of Zabbar itself is a busy, friendly place with a good selection of shops, mini-markets, take-aways etc. etc. This is a town that is well worth exploring! There are two bus stops( one at the bottom and one at the top) in the main street, maybe 100-200 yards from the apartment. The Arriva bus service can be a good, cheap and interesting way to get around Malta!
The owners of the apartment Julian and his mother Marianne( who does the airport pick-up/drop-off) were most friendly, welcoming and helpful.
For myself and my wife this was our first visit to Malta; we have travelled around the island and have seen a large number of the sights and attractions and have tried to get to "know" the island and its people. We have found some very good cafes, restaurants and shops; we have also found the prices everywhere to be very fair indeed. In fact we feel that Malta as a self-catering holiday destination could be one of the cheapest in the Mediterranean!
Myself and my wife would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone!!

We wanted to get away from it all at Xmas and this flat in Zabbar was the perfect place to do just that.
The town itself is small, quiet and traditional, At the same time, it's quick and easy to get to Valletta or Sliema either by bus or car.
The flat is exactly as described and very clean. The owners, Julian and his mum, are extremely helpful.
I would certainly recommend the flat to anyone who wants to have a relaxing, value-for-money holiday.

I spend 9 days with my husband and my sister with her boyfriend.Everything in the apartment were as in advert. It was very clean, spacious, bright, new furniture, kitchen well eqpt.Wifi works fine, you can find a lots of guides, booklet where to go what to see in Malta.Owners are really nice and helpfull people. We couldn't find a flat (no gps) so Marianne went for us.Is close to bus stops, local shops, you can buy fresh fruit and veg on the main street. No problem with parking space. Its not so close to a beach, but if you rent a car that is no problem ( you can use a bus to Marsaskala bus stop is only 1 min from a flat).
Apartment is superb for family with kids. There is play room, lot of toys, games.A crib for a baby.
Zabbar is small, traditional town.Very quiet at night. You can not find there nightlife,no clubs etc. From Zabbar is very close to three cities, which you must see.Is good to take a bus to Valletta (20 min) , also worth to see Marsaskala,Pretty Bay, St Thomas Bay.If you have a car is close everywhere in Malta.
We enjoy apartment very much.

Marianne and Julian were very helpful. As soon as we arrived at the airport, we found Marianne waiting for us. She answered all our questions such as bus numbers, good restaurants etc etc.
The apartment is situated in Zabbar at the centre. Its a beautiful village and also quite close to Xghajra beach and Marsascala beach. Walking distance to the bus terminus and the drivers will politely answer any questions you might have.
Rooms in this apartment are big and very very clean. The bed is comfortable and the furniture is brand new. This is a very good apartment also for long lets. Another thing which I liked is that we found wifi with very good connection. You will rarely find it in apartments with this price!
We truly recommend this apartment as it is very good value for money and very close to the bus terminus so its very easy to travel from 1 village to the other most of the time using only 1 bus.
Thankyou Marianne & Julian for such a wonderful stay. Will surely return to Malta next summer and will be very happy to stay at your apartment once again.
Regards,
Mr & Mrs Richards & family

We spend with my husband two weeks in Malta and we are very happy that we have chosen the apartment of Marianna in Zabbar, because it is a big, new apartment with good furniture and everything necessary for living, cooking and fun. You can find in this traditional maltese apartment lots of table games, books, booklets about Malta, fast wifi internet, tv, household devi?es and cooking things (i.e. all you see on the advertising pictures and even more). The owners have foreseen everything, even if it will rain (it happens very seldom in Malta, but happens) you will find in the apartment umbrellas. If it will be hot you can use fans or if it will be cold switch on heaters. Furthermore we think that this apartment will be very convenient for families with babies. It is very quiet, near to the apartment you can buy fruits, vegetables, meat, water e.t.c
But don’t believe the people who say that it is boring in Zabbar. Young people that prefer nightlife, music and fireworks should stay at this apartment in Zabbar during FESTA!!!! Don’t miss this opportunity!!! Everything is well decorated in this time in Zabbar. You will really enjoy this time as we!!! Best regards to David, now we are also supporters of the Blue Band!!! J)
It is also very easy to travel from Zabbar to Valetta, to different beaches of Malta and to the other beautiful cities and villages of Malta. We for example have visited Valetta (many times), Three Cities, Marsaxlock, Marsaskala, Birgibugia, Mdina, Blue Grotto, Blue Lagoon, Gozo et.c. It was not a problem because the bus stop is only 1 min from the apartment.
Marianna, Julio many thanks for nice apartment and for your hospitality and help. We will advise this apartment for all people!!!
Owner's Response: The festa is celebrated in the first weekend after the 8th September. It is a big traditional celebration and Zabbar is popular because it has one of the biggest and nicest festa on the islands. The festa starts on Tuesday with the two bank clubs (blues and greens) playing band marches in the streets. All the village is decorated with blue (dedicated for Madonna mother of Jesus) and green (St Michael Archangel) with flags, lights, street decorations etc. The church is lit and there are a lot of traditional food stalls. On Friday there is a big event with both band clubs playing till 1am and all the village waving the flags and singing songs (just like at a football stadium but on the street). Then on Saturday the traditional Te Deum takes place with activity starting at 8am culminating at 3pm when in the big square people are jumping up and down. Then in the evening there is the mass. On Sunday at noon the pellegrinagg (thousands of bicycles and motorcycles pass through Zabbar) and on Sunday evening there is the procession in a very nice atmosphere. Then on Monday everybody goes to the xalata (it means a day at the beach) waving the blue or green flag. And when most people get back home after a day at the beach (about 6pm) make sure to honk your horn and let everyne know there you are back : )

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very clean and comfortable considering the price. The minute we met Marianna she made us feel welcome when she started giving us tips on places to visit and answered our questions. The apartment is on the second floor and is spacious, bright, clean and as explained on the advert. The internet is fast and the kitchen is well equipped. The apartment is close to the bus terminus and there is a big market on Tuesdays 10 minutes away on foot. The furniture is brand new and the beds are also comfortable.

We stayed at the lovely apartment during our stay in Malta. Zabbar is a local village where you can see the locals going their way and buy things at the local price and not expensive like in touristic places. The neighbours were very nice and asked us how we were and also gave us some tips on where and what to visit. The apartment is in a narrow street which is two minutes away from the village square. Close buy you find a lot of small shops. The bus stop is also very close (1 minute) and you can go to Marsaskala, Pretty Bay, Valeltta, St Julians etc.
The apartment was as it was explained on the site with fast internet, tv, comfortable bed, ensuite bathroom and very clean. Thank you Marianne for making our holiday more comfortable.

My partner and I stayed at the apartment in Zabbar for two weeks in February. We were impressed with the owners and their friendlyness. The apartment was clean, and had all that was described in the advert. The wifi internet was fast and there are many tv channels. Even though Zabbar is not a touristic village, Malta is very small and infact we found this as an advantage since we could appreciate more the local way of life and at the same time visit touristic places which are less than 10 minutes away (by car) or 20 minutes by bus. The mattreses were comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the apartment is very close to the bus and grocery stores. We are planning to visit Malta again next year and we will come to you again. Thank you Julian and Marianne.

Spending a fortnight in Malta last winter was the best thing I could do. Since in the UK it was very cold, I went to Malta (with my sister) and stayed at this apartment in Zabbar. I though it was going to be boring since there were no nightclubs or bars in Zabbar but we enjoyed it. Zabbar is traditional town and you find everyting in it (grocery stores, pharmacy, the flea market, band club, playgroud) except discotheque. The apartment was welcoming and confortable. It was clean and we had all the necessities in there. The beds were comfortable and even though the apartment is close to the village square at night it was very quiet.

I stayed at this apartment with my husband and enjoyed every minute of it. It is comfortable, cosy, traditional and the owners make you feel welcome and comfortable. During our stay, on a Sunday afternoon I needed some pain killers and Marianne gave me immediatley when I asked her. The location is central and the airport transfers were great. She explained to us all the important places to visit and told us the bus time, the museum opening hours and also suggested some places we could visit. The apartment was clean and is well explained in the advert.

All is in the title, I will tell it briefly : family RIZZO is incredibly kind and helpful. The appartment in very new, and large, and there's wifi in, that is a big big plus.
Zabbar in not a touristy town, but it is practical to go everywhere in Malta.
In one word, I advise my relatives who want to go to Malta to rent this flat !
Owner's Response: Zabbar is a traditional local village close to touristic places such as Marsaskala (2 km away), the Three cities (3km away), Valletta (5 km away) and many beaches and rocky bays.

My family and I stayed at this apartment during our holiday in Malta. It is as explained on the advert. The apartment was clean, the wifi was fast and the airport transfers were a great bonus because on the way Marianne was explaining where to visit, recommended restaurants and opening times of the museums.

The information provided by the owner of the appartment was very accurate and detailed from the beginning on. They told us about the surroundings, Zabbar itself and the appartment and all these information have proven accurate. The appartment itself was completely new and we were the first tenants to live there. As a consequence there were still some minor things that had to be fixed, but this did not affect our stay in any way. Additionally, familiy Rizzo was very helpful with everything.
The appartment is big, light and comfortable. Supermarkets and bus station nearby, WiFi is available which is a big plus.
Zabbar is an original Maltese town, but not ready for tourists. There are, for instance, no restaurants and only few bars. The distance to the sea is a few kilometeres, so for everything you want to do you either go by bus, bike or rent a car. If you want to feel the Maltese everyday life, Zabbar is the place to go, but if you want party and nightlife, you should better choose another place like St. Julians. Bus connections to everywhere in Malta are very good, even late at night.
The Tarxien Temples and the Hypgeum are quite close, as well are the port city Marsaskala which has a nice market on Sundays.
Thanks again to Julian and Marianne for their help, and a beautiful stay in Malta!
