Villa Càrcara is a Sicilian mansion of the XIX century, built by the Schininà family.

The ancient “baglio” (typical Sicilian inner court), a delicious garden, the ample terraces, the precious details of the insides, and the surrounding Sicilian country give the chance to enjoy a unique atmosphere of simplicity and elegance.

Rooms and Apartments :

Villa Carcara offers 2 apartments and a quadruple room:
- The House of the Baron (170 square meters, 3 double rooms, 6 beds). The apartment includes: a living room with fireplace and TV SAT, two double rooms, a twin room, two bathrooms with shower, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, a 100 square meters veranda with panoramic view on the country and on the sea, a 70 square meters terrace.

- The Barocco Apartment (2 double rooms, 8 beds). The apartment includes two double rooms with hot/cold air conditioning, two twin rooms in the loft, two bathroom with shower, large kitchen with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, a leaving room with heating, TV SAT and fireplace.

- The Quadruple Room (4 beds). The quadruple room is divided in two rooms: a double room and a twin room in the loft. The rooms have a bathroom with shower and entrance from the ancient courtyard. The quadruple room is on the groundfloor and it has hot/cold air conditioning.
Free wi-fi is available in the whole structure.

Far only 18 kms from Comiso Airport, connected by Ryanair flights with London Stansted airport and Alitalia flights with Milano Linate, the positioning of the villa allows to choose between the atmosphere and the calm of the Sicilian country, the astonishing cultural heritage of the area and the amusements of popular sea-sides. Villa Càrcara is indeed immersed in the “Val di Noto” (“Noto Valley”), a Unesco World Heritage, between Ragusa (9 km) and Marina di Ragusa (8 km circa), a popular sea-side of the Eastern Sicily.

The inland offers journeys of great cultural value: Ragusa Ibla, Kamarina and its museum of ancient Greece history, the “Castello di Donnafugata” ('Donnafugata Castle'), the baroque city of Noto, Piazza Armerina and its Roman Villa “del Casale”, together with many other legacies from infinite dominations and cultures. On the other hand, along the sea-coast, Marina di Ragusa, Punta Secca, Donnalucata, Sampieri, Pozzallo (where you can reach Malta from, even for just a one-day visit) offer night-life, restaurants, shops and a wonderful sea, with the most beautiful beaches of the Eastern Sicily.

Still not far from Agriturismo Villa Carcara you may reach Syracuse (80 km), with its Greek Theatre, where every summer representations are held; Agrigento (110 km) with its famous Greek Temples; Taormina (130 km), and many other cultural destinations.
