Casa dos Falcões is located on top of a high mountain. Due to its west facing position you can contemplate the most breath taking sunsets from an unobstructed and privileged location either from the garden lawns where there is a rare centennial plum tree or whilst preparing a barbecue.
The house was re-built on two floors 10 years ago in the old tradition style of stone and rolling red roof tiles.
On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen with its original wood oven, and equipped with microwave oven, cooker, kitchen robot mixer, dishwasher and fridge.
The dining/sitting area has a wood burner, TV, DVD and CD player and internet access.
This area is decorated with pretty antiques and pieces of traditional Madeiran ornaments in copper, stoneware, glass, wood, some related to the wine production and some related to the traditional local cuisine; watercolours, some original prints and a rare example of a palanquin which was an old form of transport in the city.
On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and a bathroom with shower. The bedrooms and bathroom are equipped with central heating.
