Porto Kalyves seaside apartments is a traditional Cretan group of seaside rental 2unit apartments, absolutely brand-new (finished in 2011)a, which was designed for your absolute pleasure and recreation. It is located in one of the most cosmopolitan areas of Crete, in Kalyves of Apokoronos, before belonging to the municipality of Armeni, now belonging to the municipality of Apokoronos, 17km on the west of the city of Chania, 15km far from the airport and 8km far from the Souda port.

Due to the ancient Greek mythology, God Zeus used to enjoy his swimming at the beach of Kalyves, every time he was coming to get some water from the nearby village, Stylos, where the waters of the White Mountains bubble up.

Built in a traditional Cretan architecture in an ideal location, just 10m far from the sea, with a wide view of the endless blue of the Souda bay and the Cretan sea, combines the Cretan traditional architecture with the modern staying facilities, in order to offer you the comfort you deserve in your holidays. Reception: Zeus --- The father of Gods. The God of the weather phenomenons, protector of the foreigners, family and fertility. As a wise God, he was defining the lives of the humans.

Apartment:
The group of Porto Kalyves seaside apartments has 15 fully furnished 2unit comfortable apartments. Each apartment has its own balcony, where you can enjoy the view of the endless blue of the Aegean sea and get drunk with the smell of the sea. Early in the mornings, you will enjoy the golden sunrises and in the evening, the most magic sunset in Crete. At night, the moon will shine over the sea. Traditional Cretan architecture, Cretan materials, like wood, stone and marble were harmoniously combined with earthy traditional colours (safran and coral), in order to create an authentic traditional Cretan feeling.

14 of the apartments have two seperated rooms and a bathroom. One of the rooms is used as bedroom and the other one as living-room with access to the comfortable sea viewed balcony. One of the apartments is 1unit.

The apartments are bright and all of them have a comfortable sea viewed balcony at the north side. Seven of the apartments of the first floor have a second balcony at the south side. When the doors of the balcony and the windows are open, there is a pleasant breeze, but if this is not enough for you, you can use the A/C.

In all of the apartments, there is a hair drier and a TV with all the Greek channels and 3 of a satellite. If you have a laptop, you can connect to the Internet through Wi-Fi connection.

The apartments are being cleaned every day (except Sundays and holidays).

Sheets and towels are provided. We use eco-policy, so as to reduce the use of water and cleaning products. We would like you to contribute in this effort by extending the use of the linen . The towels are changed every 2 or 3 nights, and the sheets every 3 or 4 nights.

Bedrooms : Bedroom1_120x90 Every bedroom has 2 single beds combined together as a double one, which, if you ask us to, we can seperate so as you can use them as single beds. Furthermore, in the living-room, there is a traditional Cretan sofa, which can be converted in a single bed for another person. There are also available beds, if you ask for.

Living-room: polikoyzinzki_120x90 In the living-room, there is a fully equipment mini-kitchen, which contains 2 hotplates, a fridge, absorber, kitchen equipment, coffee machine, toaster, boiler, plates, glasses, cutlery and more kitchen and cooking equipment.

Location Kalyves Village :
Porto Kalyves seaside apartments have maintained the unique charm and hospitality of Cretan tradition and architecture, while they have been developed in a very familiar cosmopolitan and continiously growing up holidays destination, with many shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It constitutes the perfect starting place for short daily trips to: Sfakia, Fragkokastello, Plakia, Ag. Galini, Monastery of Prevelis, Sougia, Palaiochora, Elafonisi, Falasarna, Rethymno, Knossos, Kournas lake, ancient Aptera, etc.

Porto Kalyves seaside apartments are located in a quiet, idyllic area of Kalyves in Chania, next to one of the cleanest beaches of the island and a picturesque fishing port.  The extensive beach, which is more than 5km wins each year the blue flag.  Also 2 rivers flow into the crystal clear waters from the White Mountains.  Their names are Kiliaris and Xydas, on where sailing beautifully ornate wooden rowboats, beautiful illuminated wooden boats, and many trouts and ducks.

From here you can walk to explore the picturesque village of Kalyves walking in the streets and around the hill of the area. On your way to the city of Chania, located 17km from the village, with its unique Venetian port, there is also the port of Souda, and around there are many small and picturesque villages to explore!
