It is located at only 16 nautical miles from the port or Piraeus and, besides the capital, its population is spread on the communities of: Vathi, Kypseli, Mesagros and Perdika.
Aegina island has its own special profile. Its inhabitants, apart from their commercial and nautical traditional activities, are well-known for both their artistic activities in pottery (Aeginetan Jugs) and the famous pistachio's nuts production.
It is an ideal destination not only for single travelers but also for families: you can easily reach it by flying dolphin (in 40 min.) or by regular ferry boats (in approx. 75 min.). When you arrive at its busy port, you will find the time to relax, enjoying the calmness of the island, under the balconies of the old neo-classical houses, just across the fishing boats and the yachts.
