These studios combine the best of both worlds! You have the pleasure of staying in fully equipped and comfortable accommodation, in a calm, secluded property with amazing views yet, only a couple of minutes from one of the best beaches on the island! The property is fully landscaped, with beautiful rose gardens (a rarity on the island!) as well as Mediterranean vegetation. The views are absolutely stunning, the sunsets breathtaking and the warm Aegean sea just a couple of minutes walk from the property.
All studios walk straight onto the shared pool area. This 12 meters long pool is perfect for keen swimmers or to sit by during 'happy hours' watching the sun setting on the sea!
The small village of Marathonas with its beaches, supermarket and waterfront tavernas is only a couple of minutes walk from the studios.
The lovely fishing village of Perdika is about 7 min drive and the lively and bustling town of Aegina is only 5 minutes drive from the property.
There is a small supermarket in Marathonas, a couple walk from the studios.
There is plenty of good restaurants on Marathonas beach where you can have a relaxed lunch as well as watch your children paddle in the shallow waters of this friendly beach!
'Michael's beach' (on the other side of Marathonas Beach, towards Perdika) is also ideal for young (and less young) children! The sand, the shallow waters and the relaxed atmosphere makes it a lovely place to spend a late afternoon.
To eat out, we also recommend 'Nikkos' in Aeginitissa, 'Number 13' and 'Milton's' in Perdika, 'Christian and Stella's taverna' and 'Ostria' in Marathonas as well as the fish market in Aegina town.
A regular bus service runs from Aegina to Perdika (and back). 'Aeginitissa', where the house is situated, is on its route.
A lot of 'day trips' can be done from the island. 'Moni island', a natural reserve with wild animals, a lovely beach and a bar, is only 10 min. away from Perdika's port (boats depart every hour).
'Angisrti' island is accessible by ferry from Aegina port. We recommend to put your car on the ferry and tour around Angistri island, its beaches, coves, and rocks to swim or dive from.
'Athens' is also near by, as the port of Piraeus is only 40min by fast boat from Aegina. We recommend to visit Athens in the low or mid season as the summer heat can be quite strong in the city.
The ancient amphitheatre of 'Epidavros' is also accessible by boat (to Methana) and then by bus, taxi, or car to Epidavros. There is a festival of performances in the summer and shows with transport are organised by the local tourism office.
Of course, the bustling town of Aegina has a wide range of bars, restaurants, clubs and shops and 'open air' cinemas. There is even a small water park for children.
