The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The sitting room has a large seating area with traditional terra cotta floors and cathedral, open-beamed wooden ceilings. Double French Doors and windows run the length of the house affording wonderful views over the bay. A couple of steps down and separated by a low wall from the sitting room is the large galley-style kitchen which is fully equipped and is a great feature of this property. A built-in bench seat backs the sitting room and serves as additional seating to the heavy wooden dining table.
From this main sitting room/kitchen, the bedrooms are separated into two sections. A curtained hallway from the kitchen has a spacious w/c shower room and also leads to a bedroom with double bed which has French Windows leading onto the front terrace.
The opposite wing of the house is reached via a doorway at the other side of the sitting room. A long hallway leads to two more bedrooms and a very large bathroom. The master bedroom has double bed and television, DVD player and music system. French Windows lead out to the front terrace. The third bedroom is furnished with bunk beds and a small desk. There is a very large bathroom shared between these 2 bedrooms with full-size bath and shower.
The property is surrounded by extensive terraces both front and back. The sunny back patio is furnished with a picnic-style table which makes a perfect place for breakfast and is a great protected area for windy days. The views are of the olive-covered hillsides and pine clad mountains in the distance. The front terrace is also furnished with a dining table as well as some comfortable wicker chairs from which to enjoy the fabulous views down to the harbour. Both terraces are shaded by pergolas with lush and mature greenery which help keep the temperatures cool even in the heat of the day.
The pool area is situated slightly off to the side of the villa and is one of the largest swimming pools on the island. The views from the pool terrace are again of the harbour below and reach all the way across the Stafilos valley to the island of Evia. The villa is a gated property and surrounded by groves of olive and fruit trees.
The property is located in the hills just above Skopelos Town where it enjoys fabulous views from the front and back of the property. In less than 10 minutes drive is Skopelos Town with its lively waterfront full of cafes, restaurants and shopping. The nearest beach to the house, Glyfoneri Beach is just a few minutes drive from the villa. Just around the corner from Skopelos port, at the bay Ag. Konstaninos, Glyfoneri has a small selection of traditional tavernas open from mid-May to mid September. The more popular beaches of Stafilos and Velanio are reached in about 15 minute drive from the villa. Given its countryside location, this is a great place to explore the area by foot and hikers and walkers will find the nature pristine and peaceful.
