Ideal place for couples, families, or friends, who are after a real "home" in Plaka, the historical neighborhood of Athens!The flat was freshly repainted in February 2015. It has two bedrooms; one with a king size bed (180X200) and another with an extra wide single bed (110X200). Three very comfortable folding beds, which can fit in bedroom 2, are available for use by extra guests. Also, a couch that can be turned into a double bed (140X190), usually used on the western veranda, can fit into the spacious dining room and accommodate another 2 people. With this arrangement a total of 8 can be put up. Finally, a baby's crib can be provided upon request. Bed linen, towels, and toiletries are our responsibility.

A secluded western veranda next to the kitchen/dining room offering a breathtaking Acropolis view and an exceptionally large (60sq.m) eastern veranda next to the living room, which is sunny in the morning and shaded in the afternoon.
The kitchen/dining room is exceptionally spacious and fully equipped. Appliances include: gas cooker, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, kettle, coffee machine, bread toaster, juicer. We supply the essentials for first morning's breakfast.
In the cosy, wooden ceiling living room there is a fireplace, air conditioning, tv set, dvd player, and audio system.
The bathroom is simple and convenient. The flat has autonomous gas heating and hot water 24/7. The washing machine is one floor below. The cleaning person takes care of the guests' laundry and brings it back to them to hang for drying. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer are provided. Also, there is a wireless internet connection.
The flat is perfectly located in the heart of the touristic and shopping area of Athens next to a pedestrian street (Kidathinaion), which hosts a big choice of restaurants, tavernas, coffee shops, wine bars, the Museum of Folk Art, the Jewish Museum, and Children's Museum. Syntagma Square, metro and buses to the airport, the port of Piraeus, and the lovely Athenian beaches are only 3 minutes' walk. Within 5-10 minutes you can reach the Acropolis Museum, the entrance to the Parthenon, the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Zeus, and Athens tennis club. A 15 minutes' walk through the National Gardens leads you to Kolonaki, where you can visit the Benaki Museum and the Museums of Cycladic and Byzantine Art. Monastiraki and the central food market of Athens with a variety of shops and tavernas are only 15 minutes away. Next to the flat there is a mini market, bakery, green grocers, fishmonger, butcher, patisserie, ice-cream and smoothie shop, chemists, and one of the best bio shops in the city. Finally, at 3 minutes' walk, there is a lovely open air roof-cinema called “Cine-Paris”, where, from June until September, you can enjoy a movie while eating souvlaki or drinking a cold beer!
We live in the same building. We usually welcome our guests in person (unless we are away on business or holiday), and help them make themselves comfortable. If we happen to be away, we always arrange for someone to meet our guests. Being engaged in the cultural and intellectual life of Athens ourselves we can give useful advice about life in the the city or travelling to the mainland and the islands. Our library is equipped with a variety of books on Greece and some guides, which you are invited to use. With special arrangement and extra fee, we can introduce you to a friendly guide, who will show you the hidden charm of Athens. Plenty of paid garages exist in the area.Children are welcome to the flat provided they know how to respect the property and not cause any damage. If required, extra cleaning service can be provided at an axtra charge.
