Situated right outside of the small village of Järrestad, six kilometres from Simrishamn, Jacobsgården offers beautiful views across Österlen.
Jacobsgården, built in 1860 in a style typical for the county of Skåne, has been carefully renovated and refurbished in order to maintain its particular charm. There are three separate apartments available for rent, each equipped with kitchen and private facilities. The courtyard, available for all guests, is an ideal place to spend lovely summer nights as it is equipped with patio furniture and barbecues.
The large garden is perfect for children with its swing set and goal posts for playing football. There are a also a number of bicycles available for your disposal for trips to, for example, Simrishamn or Glimmingehus, the best preserved medieval fortress in Scandinavia. Furthermore, within walking distance the best preserved rock carvings of Skåne are available to witness. Finally, by a short trip by car, some of the most beautiful and most popular beaches of Sweden and a number of high quality golf courses can be reached.
This part of the lodge was used by John Jacob to keep the feed for the animals. The lodge is newly renovated and was converted into an apartment in 2010. The large window wall together with the white beams and the walls polished in white provide a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The floors are throughout in floor tiles and are equipped with under floor heating.
