Warm spacious modern house in a quiet cul de sac above Harlech. Ty Mefus(strawberry house) is ideally suited to either a large family, or family group where one party may require more privacy. Ty Mefus has a kitchen and dining area on both floors giving more accomodation flexibility than most holiday homes. There is a large sun terrace accessed from the first floor lounge/diner and top kitchen area giving brilliant flexibility to both relaxing and catering...and don`t forget the large kitchen diner downstairs as well. Ty Mefus is ideally placed to catch the sun all day but especially so in the afternoon and for the spectacular Harlech sunsets!
The park is ideal for exercising your dog/s, the children or even yourselves and leads to the church and then onto the iconic centre of Harlech itself.
We do ask that all guests respect the World Heritage Site status of Harlech and also the peace and quiet that our friends and neighbours enjoy. Coast/Beach:
Harlechs long dune backed sandy beach is 15 mins walk. other beaches such as dyffryn,barmouth and black rock (drive on beach) are a short drive.
Travel:
Manchester airport is 2. 5 hours. Harlech has a train station and is well connected to many local attractions up and down the coast. It is also possible to connect with the local narrow gauge railways to take you to more inland destinations.
Distances:
Harlech is especially well placed within Snowdonia, most attractions can be driven to within 1 hour. Visitors who stay in Harlech usually visit Portmerion, zipworld, snowdon, ffestiniog and welsh highland railways, bounce below, greenwood forest park and more, or some are quite content to visit places within walking distance for example Harlech castle, theatre, pubs, restaurants, shops, beach, swimming pool, rock climbing wall, golf course, childrens play centre and slate quarry, bron y graig parc, church etc.

Harlech is blessed with most facilities for such a small community. if you need more info. just ask as we and the children live up the road and know (nearly)all the special places to visit or experience. Mountain biking or cycling is nearby at mawddach estuary, coed y brenin, and the downhill trails at blaenau ffestiniog.There are also plenty of waiks from Harlech itself,up into the mountains, or along the 5km beach just for starters.
