Located in the sleepy village of Assignan in the rural Languedoc region, this charming village was rescued from abandonment and ruin and reborn as a chic country hamlet.
Created and conceived by a Flemish couple who discovered much of the village deserted, they set about transforming and rehabilitating several buildings to create a unique hotel oeno-tourism concept and event location.
Redesigned in keeping with the cultural heart and lifestyle of the region, each of the individual properties retain their beautiful rustic character with a little edgy contemporary style and enchanting vintage touches. Awash in rich colours, texture and authentic character, the village has come back to life with understated elegance and modern attitude and offers multiple ways to enjoy it.
Comprised of three residences that accommodate between two and twenty guests each, the village also includes a fine dining restaurant, an eco-winery, tapas and wine bar, an art gallery and outdoor kitchens and dining areas in the vineyards. A magical and massive Gypsy tent is available a few days each year for weddings and celebrations where you’ll join friends old and new for dining at long communal tables and enjoy the rustic roots of the region. The houses can accommodate up to twenty six overnight guests and the property features numerous outdoor dining areas, beautiful gardens and terraces, and pools overlooking the countryside.
Professional services and catering are available to create, customize and manage all inclusive events and guests can partake in the many fun activities that the hosts arrange including, scooter and small motorbike tours with wine tasting and picnics, horse drawn carriage tours and truffle and game hunting. Come and discover the beauty, the flavors and the joyful renaissance of a French village for an unforgettable experience.
