The Harbor Rose
The Harbor Rose: A Historic Home Built in 1849
The Harbor Rose, a historic home built in 1849 as a rectory to St John’s Church is located in the heart of Cold Spring Harbor featuring water views and is adjacent to State Hiking Trails. We consistently deliver a unique lodging experience, in a peaceful, eco-friendly resort setting where our guests are greeted with warmth and appreciated and treated better than family! We only ask that you communicate your desires and we will do our best to assist in every way. The entire house features a water purification system, Luxury Egyptian Cotton Linens, and several sitting areas to relax and enjoy.
You will often find the Innkeeper in the Kitchen after 9:00 pm and if you arrive late you may be offered an organic vegan bowl of soup and/or a seasonal salad. We are located at the western edge of Historic Cold Spring Harbor Village and less than 1 mile from Huntington Village (Voted best Village on Long Island 5 years running) featuring 87 restaurants mostly owned by chefs!
Abundant unique retail, live entertainment venues including the Paramount Theater, many historic sites, includin Sagamore Hill, parks, beaches and rich in history and waterfront venues. Walk to the Cold Spring Harbor Labs, St Johns Historic Church, several nature conservatories, and the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. Enjoy the local beaches and water sports, museums, parks, hiking & biking trails, festivals, and boutique shopping. Request our area guide book to assist in planning your visit.
Garden Room
The Room features; Private entrance in the first floor, A wall of Windows with water views overlooking the garden deck, queen size bed, guest controlled A/C and heat. Hi-Speed Wireless Internet Access, Shared bath outside guest room, a full size refrigerator for house guests and plenty of parking. There are many different outside sitting areas areas for guests to enjoy. Visit with the Innkeeper in the Living room, enjoy a seasonal fire or wander the grounds.
Victorian Room
The Victorian room features Water Views, a second floor balcony with views of the shoreline and Long Island Sound, Fireplace, King size bed, luxury linens and pillows, Hi-Speed wireless and hard wired Internet Access, Romantic shared bath outside the guest room. We also have a full size refrigerator for house guests! Self Serve tea coffee and fruit are always found in the front foyer. visit with the Innkeeper in the living room... and enjoy all the different sitting areas inside and out.
Parlor Suite
The Parlor Suite features an antique bedroom set, private bath, queen size bed, luxury linens, mattress and pillows, sitting area and beautiful writing desk, ideal for the extended stay traveler is at the top of the house, spacious enough to Dance, enjoy Yoga and even do cartwheels. Please note this room is on the 3rd floor, please book only if you are comfortable with stairs.
