We warmly welcome you to Pod Lipa, a historic farm in Silesia. The farm is located at 400m above sea level, surrounded by fields and forests, in the south you can see the Giant Mountains. The building is lovingly restored and has many original details. The sunny yellow ocher color of the plaster is to find typical of the area and often. The beautiful wooden floors and ceilings, painted cabinets and antique utensils recreate the atmosphere of ancient times. The large wooden barn is still used as a warehouse for hay, straw and wood. The whole house is heated with a wood gas central heating.
It is lovely to sit in the morning with the first cup of coffee or tea on the front terrace. The animals, chickens, ducks and geese, are already out there and looking for pecking and scraping their breakfast. The goats are already full and satisfied in the grass, while the horses are champing at the fence waiting until they are allowed to graze. The dogs, Sanne, Tessa and Kylian, keep a watchful eye on all the action. Around the house is a lot of space and above all peace. There are many places where you can undisturbed sitting enjoy the beautiful nature. The area is ideal for a long or short walk through the woods and fields with the beautiful panorama of the Giant Mountains in the background. Dinner with a glass of wine around the campfire can also be grilled. Here you can watch a most particularly starry sky and listen to the chirping of crickets or a late Frog.
In the building there are two apartments. One for 2 to 4 people, the second apartment up to max. 6 Pers. The whole is also available for groups up to max. 8 persons. Both apartments have a private kitchen with dining area and living room. In the bedroom are two beds and a large bedroom three beds. The bathroom is very spacious with shower, bath, double wash basin, sauna and heated floors. The total is rustically furnished with attention to detail.
Surroundings
Janice is a small village with about 70 inhabitants, the people are very hospitable. Surrounded is the village of fields, pastures and woods. The fields are cultivated in small plots, sometimes you can still see a horse and cart. There are cows, pigs and a few horses and at the houses orchards and beautiful flower gardens. The nearest shop is 3 km.
In Jelenia Gora can stroll through many interesting shops, stop off at restaurants or cafes or sit on the beautiful Old Market Square outside in summer and watch the bustle. Every year on the last weekend of September throughout the city center, a large antique dealers, where you can many interesting things not only admire but buy of course.
Other large cities are Szklarska Poreba and Karpacz, popular ski resorts. Boleslawiec is famous for its typical blue patterned polish pottery. The small towns like Gryfow or Lubomierz are worth a visit with its typical squares and beautiful churches. Also to be found in the surrounding area are many old castles.
Maybe you do also take a trip to the Czech Republic or Germany, here in the triangle there are many border crossings. So worth it, for example, a visit to the "Rock Town" in Adrspach (Adersbach) in the Czech Republic but also Jizera and Giant Mountains invite you to explore the numerous marked hiking and cycling trails.
