Like all our flats, Jonquille has it's own personal charm, cool in summer, temperate in winter (thick stone walls).
The view of the sunset, the mountains and the sea in the distance is superbe.
It's situation 200m out of the village confers incomparable calm, close to nature, enhanced by the riverlike atmosphere of our biological swimming pool (unique (for the moment!) in this region...

'Jonquille',on the ground floor, designed for 4 people, has two bedrooms, a living room, kitchenette and showeroom; with a terrace shaded by an opulent wisteria, and a shared garden of about 65 m²...
The property is located below and away from the village, within reach of many hiking routes, 10 minutes by car from the beach (1h:40 walk!), An hour's drive from 3 rivers, 10 minutes from the closest commercial center
In the village there is a small grocery/store, a bakery, a butchery, an antique shop and local products shop (in season), a pharmacy, a post office, and 2 convivial bar/restaurants on the village square .
There is parking next to the house, but the accès is steep and narrow: sometimes customers prefer to park their vehicle in the public parking lot 150m from our property.

We stayed in Jonquille, a gite for 4 although there we were only 2. It is well equipped and comfortable although definitely compact. It is one of several gite in a beautiful house which sits in a wonderful hillside position with a very pleasant garden and lovely views. The swimming pond is a fantastic bonus.
Martin and Majo are friendly and helpful hosts who live on the premises. It's a very good area for sea swimming and walking. We would definitely recommend this gite to others.
If you are going to book it's worth bearing in mind that sheets, towels and cleaning are all extra, in our case another €75.
Owner's Response: ...et c'étaitent des clients délicieux!...nous espérons les revoir une autre fois... Notez que la location de draps et de serviettes est optionnelle, ainsi que le ménage; et ce dernier est en fonction de la taille du gîte. Tout ceci est clairement indiqué sur le site :)

Wunderschön gelegene Wohnung in einem "wildromantischem" Haus. Die Aussicht und Sonnenuntergänge von der Terrasse sind ein Traum. Meer und Berge sind ständig zu sehen und somit ist Wandern und Badeurlaub wunderbar zu vereinen. Die Vermieter Martin und Majo, welche im oberen Bereich des Hauses wohnen sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Der Naturpool ist einmalig und bestens für einen Entspannungstag am Haus oder aber auch für eine kurze Abkühlung nach langer Wanderung wunderbar. Wer die Natur liebt und nicht auf den großen Rummel belebter Städte steht ist hier aller bestens aufgehoben.
