Ikigai is a rural tourist home conceived as a space and help for rest, peace, silence, friendship, encounter, discovery and admiration of nature... and the enjoyment of life every day you are in it. The Ikigai rural house, due to its location in a remote, small, beautiful and uncontaminated valley, such as the Valle de Lana, and in a town, Viloria, where the murmur of nature can still be heard and the smell of the ancestral charcoal kilns, is a space that invites rest and opens all our senses. It is located at the top of the town with dreamlike views, next to the imposing limestone crest of the Sierra de Santiago de Lokiz. The changes in climate and color in the landscape throughout the seasons make it very attractive and worth repeating the experience more than once. discovering new and surprising novelties. Ikigai is a completely renovated 17th century manor house. Next to it is the famous pediment from the film “Tasio” (about the life of the charcoal burners) by Montxo Armendáriz.

Viloria is one of the five tiny towns that make up the valley, and one of the last places in Navarra where holm oak charcoal is made, from April to October.
Despite its small size, the Lana Valley has a long and rich history with Roman settlements and remains. According to the oldest chronicles, it already appears in the very origins of the Kingdom of Navarre. All its inhabitants were recognized, in the 17th century, as Hijosdalgo, hence the proliferation of coats of arms on the facades of the houses. The valley is known in Navarra as "Little Russia".
